What happened?!?
Do you ever feel the relief of finally getting down to the bottom of the hamper only to turn around and the dirty laundry is piled up again?
How is this possible?? Just one load of laundry takes me, on average, three hours to complete from hamper to closet. First you have to collect all the dirty laundry, sort it, spot treat the stains, wash, dry, fold, then put away. And who are we kidding, its never just one load of laundry!
All that work just for the pile of dirty laundry to start piling up before the day ends. Laundry is a never-ending cycle. Sometimes this task can start to feel overwhelming.

Hampers: My family loves to just toss their dirty clothes on the floor instead of walking them to the laundry room. To prevent a sea of dirty laundry you have to go looking for on laundry day, add more hampers! Put hampers in the hot spot for where your loved ones discard their clothes. This helps to designate a place the clothes need to go and helps to spread out the options instead of one hamper for all the dirty clothes. Multiple hampers also help to sort out your laundry into different loads (white, dark, delicate, etc.) when it comes time to do the laundry.
Schedule: Try to schedule a time for laundry. Either a certain day during the week of a specific time during the day! Typically, Saturdays are my slow days. This always me to focus my laundry pile to Saturdays and know that I will tackle the task then instead of worrying about it through the week. Others may find it easier to schedule one load a day and spread the task out. Whichever works for you!
Help: Don’t let the load of laundry to weigh just on you! Designate a certain task to each member of the family! One person can collect the laundry, someone else can sort and put the laundry in the washer and dryer and encourage each person to fold and put their own laundry away.
Have little kids? Give them a pile of towels to help fold. It is a great way to teach them a helpful task!
Live alone? Listen to your favorite music or podcast to help make the chore seem more enjoyable!
